Object history
  • Uihlein Collection, Oconomowoc Lake, Wisconsin (the Uihleins were one of the major Milwaukee brewing families and founded the Schiltz brewing company. The present work was acquired by one of the daughters on her Grand Tour to Europe in the nineteenth century.)
  • Acquired from the above family by the present owner in 1978
