Summary

[edit]
Description

It is very rare to see European buses in North America. Open Loop New York operates 15 of these British Enviro400s for sightseeing purposes.

Alexander Dennis (headquartered in Scotland) has managed to grab a small foothold in North America with these double-deckers. North American manufacturers don't build any double-deckers, so there was a solid niche available for Alexander Dennis to slide into and they've done so ably. The company also has a joint venture with North American Bus Industries that has brought the mid-sized, low-floor Enviro200 over to the states as the New Flyer MiDi.
