English: Alderholt: the bridleway leaves Telegraph Plantation. The bridleway northeast from Verwood has climbed up to Telegraph Plantation, whose easternmost foliage we see on the left as the bridleway and accompanying power line wires head downhill towards Cranborne Common. We are in the parish of Alderholt, which was created about 150 years ago when it was separated from Cranborne parish hence the name Cranborne Common. |
