Description
English: The "Alchup de Santa Bárbara" is a concavity or cistern excavated on the rock that collects rain water, in this case for the consumption of the inhabitants of the nearby Fortress of Santa Bárbara. Made on the style on musulman "aljibes", and probably made by them before the Reconquista of that zone.
Español: El "Alchup de Santa Bárbara" es una concavidad o cisterna cavada en la roca que collecta agua de lluvia, en este caso para el consumo de los habitantes de la cercana Fortaleza de Santa Bárbara. Hecha al estilo de los aljibes musulmanes, y probablemente hecha por ellos antes de la Reconquista de esa zona.
