DescriptionAlcator C-Mod high angle cell overview 2007.jpg |
English: Overview of the Alcator C-Mod cell looking approximately north. The tokamak (large upright cylinder at center of photo) is encased within boron-doped concrete for neutron and X-ray shielding. The blue cylinder on its side at the bottom-right of the photo is a part of the Diagnostic Neutral Beam (DNB) system. Behind the tokamak, on the northeast wall of the cell can be seen the "jungle gym" of Lower Hybrid Heating and Current Drive (LHH/LHCD) klystrons and waveguides. |
