Summary
[edit]DescriptionAlbuquerque Atlantic & Pacific railyards.jpg |
English: Established in 1880 and finally shut down in the late 90's the Albuquerque rail yards were an industrial powerhouse. Primarily used for locomotive repair, steam engines were sent here to be taken apart and mended. The rail yards began to decline after the adoption of the diesel engine in WW2. The rail yards helped build Albuquerque into the unique and sprawling city it is today! |
