Alberto Granado, es un escritor argentino, nacido el 8 de agosto de 1922 en Buenos Aires. Estudió Bioquímica, y a los treinta años de edad decidió dejar su tierra para hacer un viaje sin rumbo fijo por toda latinoamérica con su buen amigo, Ernesto "Che" Guevara. En un principio pensado como un simple derrotero turístico, la contemplación a lo largo del trayecto de las constantes calamidades a las que eran sometidos los sectores más humildes, tuvo un efecto determinante en la modelación del pensamiento político de ambos jóvenes y dejó profundas huellas en la historia de la segunda mitad del siglo XX.
