Description
Latviešu: Alberta laukums Vecrīgā (1170 m2). Viena no vissenāk apdzīvotajām Rīgas vietām, kur Rīgas upes ielokā atradies lībiešu ciems. Arheoloģiskajos izrakumos atrastas arī mūrētas ēkas paliekas, kas iespējams celta vēl pirms 1201. gada. XVII gs. bija ierīkota zirgu pasta stacija, ko likvidēja XIX gs. 80. gados. Pasta kantora ēku un zirgu staļļus nojauca un 1889. gadā to vietā iekārtoja skvēru, ko 1890. gadā nosauca par "Alberta skvēru", bet 1923. gadā pārsauca par "Alberta laukumu". Fotogrāfējis A.Buks
