Summary

[edit]
Description

TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Ajo Station arrested two illegal aliens near Why, Arizona, and, during processing, discovered one was previously convicted for multiple felony crimes to include rape. While processing Adan Jimenez-Alarcon for illegally entering the United States, agents learned he was convicted in Indiana in 2012 on multiple charges related to sexual battery and sentenced to three years. Agents further learned he was also convicted in 2015 in Arizona for failing to register as a sex offender and sentenced to more than two years. Jimenez, a 28-year-old Mexican national, will be criminally prosecuted for illegal re-entry into the U.S. The other alien arrested with Jimenez, a 33-year-old El Salvadorian national, will also be criminally processed for immigration violations. All individuals apprehended by the Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using a biometric system, vital for ensuring illegal immigrants with criminal histories are positively identified.
