The following is the author's description of the photograph quoted directly from the photograph's Flickr page. "Panoramic composition of Airfrance airbus a321 (2 pics). Tag Your Airplane Pics! (aerotagging) 1. Get the airport ICAO code. 2. Get the airline ICAO code. 3. Get the aircraft manufacturer: there is no standard except for McDonell Douglas (MD). But try airbus, boeing, beech, bell (notice there are no spaces in each one). 4. Get the aircraft model: usually is the major model of the aircraft, like 747, or A320. 5. Get the aircraft series: usually the sub-version of the aircraft. If you have an airbus A320-211, the series is 211. 6. Get the tail registration of the aircraft: This one could be tricky. If you don't know the tail number, check your picture carefully, cause sometimes, you can get it by looking the nose wheel doors, or the wing undersurface. For example, you have one Air France airbus with AM on the nose wheel doors. Then you just google about it or look in places like airfleets.net or planespotters.net and you will have that AM only belongs to Air France for the airbus A321 with tail number F-GTAM. Easy. 7. Look for the manufacturer's serial number. airfleets.net is a good source for the number you are looking for. Now that you have all this, use the tags: aerotagged, aero:airport=code, aero:airline=code, aero:man=manufacturercode, aero:model=code, aero:series=code, aero:tail=tailcode, aero:msn=manufacturer's serial number. There is one more tag: aero:special=XX (use for special modifications of the aircraft like ER (extended Range) or LR (long range), but is not used very often). Check link The Airline Codes Web Site.
