English: Senior Airman Corey Mcenery, 502nd Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, demonstrates the uses of a bomb suit and robot as part of bomb disposal procedures during Air Force at the Alamo events in conjunction with Fiesta San Antonio April 20. The suit weighs about 80 pounds and protects Airmen from explosives at an arm’s length, or roughly 3 feet. The robot is used to keep Airmen safe at a greater distance and can be used to inspect and remove a suspicious package. (U.S. Air Force photo by Melissa Peterson/released) |
