Summary
(notice de l'exposition, 2017) English: Hands from the clock of the Old Seminary of Saint Sulpice (1822). These hands are driven by a mechanism by Jean-Joseph Lepaute, known as Collignon, the King's watchmaker, located at the Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. This old clock, with a wooden mechanism, would have been the first public clock in Montreal. (exhibition notice, 2017) |
