Description

The newest cruiseship of AIDA Cruises is the AIDANova, the first LNG powered cruiseship in the world. Here the ship is seen in front of the covered building hall of the Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The first ship of the Helios-class of cruiseships is the largest cruiseship of Carnival Corporation, the parentcompany of many cruiselines including Holland America Line, Carnival Cruises, P&O Cruises and Costa Cruises. It is a gigant with its 183.000 BRT. The ship is beeing prepared for departure to Eemshaven (NL) and her first seatrials.

Het nieuwste cruiseschip van AIDA cruises is de AIDANova, tevens het grootste cruiseschip van Carnival Corporation, de moedermaatschappij van veel cruise rederijen zoals Holland America, Carnival Cruises, P&O en Costa Cruises. Met zijn 183.900 Bruto Register Ton is het een gigant. De AIDANova is het eerste cruiseschip ter wereld dat is aangedreven door LNG (vloeibaar aardgas) en dat is een kleine stap vooruit in de niet bepaald als schoon bekend staande cruiseindustrie. Het schip wordt klaargemaakt voor vertrek naar de Eemshaven (NL) en haar eerste proefvaarten. Lengte : 337 meter
