西尾で木綿問屋をしていた深谷半左衛門嘉璫が、 慶応年間（1865–1868）に開窯した染付磁器で、 窯場はハツ面山南麓のハツ面焼・熊蔵窯の隣にあった。 瀬戸産の磁石、 西尾産の長石、 大陸産の呉須で瀬戸系の陶技と、 画家・文人の画技により、 汲み出し碗と煎茶碗などを制作した。
