Description
English: Fort Aguada Goa, is best preserved Portuguese fort of India. It was the most prised and crucial fort of Portuguese. The fort constructed by Portuguese in just three years 1609 to 1612. "Aguada" specifies a place where water is collected, A freshwater spring within the fort provided water to the ships that used to pass by. Fort has a lighthouse, erected in 1864 and oldest its kind in Asia. Primarily fort used as prison. At fort Aguada along with history you can enjoy panoramic view of Arabian sea and beautiful sunset.
