Description
English: Agrivoltaics, the practice of putting solar panels over crops, has the potential to combine the production of agriculture and solar energy into one optimized, sustainable and carbon-free system. Biological systems engineering Ph.D. student Omar Samara, part of associate professor Isaya Kisekka's group, is studying ways to design agrivoltaic systems to maximize both crop and energy output.
