Das ist nun die dritte im Bunde dieser eleganten Agfa-Spiegelreflexkameras. Das Spitzenmodell ist die Selectronic 3, die Selectronic 2 hatte immerhin eine - nicht abschaltbare - Belichtungsautomatik. Die Selectronic 1 ist die Kamera für Puristen. Kein überflüssiges Ausstattungsmerkmal, die Zeiten gehen von 1 Sek. bis 1/1000 Sek. und die Belichtung wird über Leuchtdioden manuell eingestellt. Blitz-Mittenkontakt und Selbstauslöser hat man ihr auch noch gegönnt. Die Kamera wurde wie die zwei anderen Selectronics von Chinon gebaut, sie ist nichts anderes als die auf Agfa gestylte CM-4s. Wie schon gesagt, war diesem Agfa-Trio leider kein großer Erfolg beschieden. Einer der Gründe war sicherlich das späte Erscheinen, der Markt war schon aufgeteilt und gesättigt. Agfa versuchte zwar noch durch Einführung eines Depot-Systems den Preis für den Händler profitabel zu machen, aber die - günstigere - Konkurrenz ließ diese Idee zu einem Misserfolg werden. Foto-Quelle verkaufte z. B. diese Chinon-Modelle unter eigenem Label deutlich billiger. 1982 musste Agfa das Depot-System aufgeben, gleich darauf wurde die gesamte Kamera-Produktion eingestellt. |
