Description

Agbokim waterfall is among the most beautiful nature sceneries in Nigeria. It is located in Cross River state

Some facts about the waterfall:

  • It is made up of 7 tributaries of a river.
  • Agbokim waterfall has a hydro-electric power capacity of 435 MW.
  • The waterfall is 25m high, and falls over a C-shaped cliff.
  • A phenomenal rainbow that makes Agbokim waterfall fantastic is short-lived. It appears only on sunny days, between midday hours of 12pm and 2pm. The higher the intensity of the sun, the bigger the bow and saturated the colours (in fact, there may be double bow).
  • Under the large semi-circular cliff that makes Agbokim falls is an underground tunnel and a mini cave. The cave is habitat to a unique bat species.
