Description

Agaricus sylvicola (Vittad.) Peck

Image location: Massy, Essonne, France

Cap diameter to 8.5 cm, yellow then brown on bruising, young gills pinkish, stem with abrupt swelling at base. Slight smell of almonds. Synonym: A. essettei.

Based on microscopic features: Elliptical spores about 7 × 5.5 µm, cheilocystidia up to 17.5 × 9. Divisions in micrographs are 1.5 µm.
