Afton Canyon Campground is the perfect spot to gaze upon the night sky. Located approximately 45 minutes from Barstow and two hours from Las Vegas, there is very little light pollution to interfere with star gazing.

Located approximately 45 minutes from Barstow and two hours from Las Vegas, there is very little light pollution to interfere with star gazing. The campground is a great place to watch desert bighorn sheep drink from the Mojave River. It also features the Union Pacific Railroad and is a great place to kick off an adventure on the Mojave Road.
