Object history Mathilde Ovize dans son livre publié en 1943 Notes sur les communes du canton de Thizy en Haut-Beaujolais : Thizy, Bourg-de-Thizy, Pont-Trambouze, Cours, Laville, Mardore, La Chapelle-de-Mardore, Marnand et Saint-Jean-la-Bussière p. 53-54 écrit que Maurice Montet envoya en 1936 à l'exposition des arts catholiques de Lyon la copie sur toile de cette version sur panneau de bois que l'abbé Magnoloux découvrit ensuite dans un grenier de la cure.
Notes L'oeuvre du 15e siècle se trouve à la mairie mais une copie du 17e siècle a été exposée à la chapelle Saint-Georges.
