Description Afa-50-4: High upon the Austrian Tyrolean Alps in the French Zone of Austria, French and American Troops are participating in “Operation Mule Train.” Members of the 3rd Battalion, 350th Infantry Regiment, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel George Dickerson, reinforced by mules and skinners from the French forces are acting as aggressor forces over the rugged terrain. Private First Class Julius N. Swofford, right, of Headquarters Company, Third Battalion, and, Corporal Cornelius Harris, left, also of Head Quarter’s Company, Assistant Gunner, fire a round from their 3.5 bazooka at the enemy near Bichlbach, Austria, September 11, 1951.
