Aesica related BOW BROOCH
Description
English: Copper alloy brooch fragment. Foot only with damaged catchplate. Flat fantail shape with three central grooves and single incised lines along the edges. This style of foot is found on crescent type Aesicas, but this example has curved sides mostly found on Hattatt's Wing-and-Fanbow type e.g. no. 300 - and the outline is particularly close to no. 1483. Surviving length 18.5mm.
