Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Arthur Kill is a tidal strait that separates New Jersey (at top left) from Staten Island (at bottom right). The Outerbridge Crossing (NJ/NY highway 440) connects the two, at the south end of Staten Island. The name of the bridge refers not to its position as the southernmost crossing in New York State, but rather to Eugenius Harvey Outerbrige, first chairman of New York's Port Authority and a Staten Island resident.
