Description
English: Aerial view of Stadtkyll, Germany, in January 1945. The view is roughly, NNE. The rail line visible is the Vennquerbahn Jünkerath, Germany, to Weywertz, Belgium.

Original description: "Aerial photo of Stadtkyll Communication Center, Stadtkyll, Germany. Successfully bombed 7-10-/10 cloud cover by means of Gee-H on December 29, 1944 and Again on January 8, 1945.
Bombed by: 458th Bombardement Group, January 8, 1945, and 44th Bombardement Group on December 29, 1944, both from the 2d Air Division, Eith Air Force.
Bom damage asessment: most of the damage appears to be to business an residential properties in the town, tough the roas ma have been temprorairly blocked with debris from damaged buildings. (K Report 3650)

Significance: This target was hit and knocked out long enough to disrupt German communications."
