Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Aerial view of what was at the time the southeast corner of downtown Fairbanks, Alaska, focusing on the Clay Street Cemetery with the Chena River flowing nearby. The sawmill of the Independent Lumber Company, a pioneering business in Fairbanks which operated in that location until the early 1960s, can be seen in between the cemetery and river. Two of the sawmill's buildings are still standing; the larger of the two is used by an auto accessories shop.
