Summary
[edit]DescriptionAerial photograph of a cliff on Baffin Island.jpg | 3000 ft high granite ogress hiking up her skirts. The ribbons show how much iron - manganese is available to lichen and plants from Earth's atmosphere. All this rock would have been polished to pretty pink by fjiord-filling glacier that melted perhaps several thousand years ago. Location is -not- Auyuittuq NP. This place is halfway up the north side of Baffin Island Nunavut in rugged fjiord country southwest of Clyde River. Aerial shot from helicopter. |
