Description
English: The Virgin cradles her son in both arms. Dressed in a long shift, he plucks at a bunch of grapes on top of which is a hole that would have held a little bird, now lost. The Virgin’s sweet face, with a collar at the neckline of her gown, her wavy hair parted in the centre and her delicate hands are indeed typical of Van Wesel’s figures of the Virgin.
