Description
English: Karlsruhe Torah scroll (c 13th century), originally from Krautheim. At the risk of personal life it was rescued by Adolf Loebl (also Loebel)from Karlsruhe synagogue on or just after Kristallnacht 1938. Now in the possession of "Sir Isaac and Lady Edith Wolfson Museum" in Jerusalem (IL).
Deutsch: Karlsruher Torahrolle (Sefer Tora), wohl 13. Jahrhundert, aus Krautheim. Adolf Loebel gerettet sie während oder kurz nach der Pogramnacht 1938 aus der Synagoge Kronenstraße. Sie ist heute im Besitz des Wolfson Museums in Jerusalem.
