Description
English: Adfail Gwylfa Hiraethog The ruin of Gwylfa Hiraethog.Translated it means 'The Watchtower of Hiraethog', Hiraethog being the Denbigh moors.It was built between 1908 and 1911 as a shooting lodge for the Merseyside millionaire and politician Viscount Davenport. It replaced an earlier timber lodge imported from Norway and is still known locally as 'Plas Pren', and was reputed to have been the highest inhabited house in Wales and to have the widest views of any house in Britain.
