Description
Français : Nouveau logo et identité graphique d'Ada X lancée en 2020, qui marque le changement de nom du centre d’artistes féministe montréalais en arts médiatiques Studio XX. Afin de mieux représenter la diversité des genres et de réactualiser ses valeurs féministes, le centre fondé en 1996 a mené un processus de consultation et de délibération impliquant ses membres et sa communauté. Si Ada est un clin d’œil au prénom d’une pionnière de la science informatique (Ada Lovelace), Ada c’est aussi Art, Digital, Activisme, trois piliers de son mandat. Le X marque l’histoire du centre mais devient surtout une variable, un point de rencontre à l’intersection d’identités riches, multiples et fluides.
English: New Ada X logo and graphic identity launched in 2020, marking the name change of Montreal feminist media arts artist center Studio XX. To better represent gender diversity and update its feminist values, the center, founded in 1996, conducted a process of consultation and deliberation involving its members and community. Ada is a nod to the first name of a pioneer in computer science (Ada Lovelace), but it also refers to the keywords Art, Digital, Activism, three pillars of our mandate. The X connects to the history of the centre and at the same time becomes a variable, a meeting point at the intersection of varied, rich, and fluid identities.
