Rufus W. Millerwas elected General Sunday-school Secretary; also that the Sunday-schoolBoard made an apportionment of one cent a member on the Sunday-schools.The response was sufficiently g-nerous to begin the work. But, inasmuch asa question arose as to the constitutionality of the method of apportionments,the Board decided to ask all our Sunday-schools to make an annual offeringfor the support of the work on Childrens Day, which offering should includethe cent a Sunday-school member. — 182 — IV. CHARTER PROPOSED BY GENERAL SYNOD S.-S. BOARD. Article I. The name, style and title of the corporatioa-«shall be The General Sunday School Board of the ReformedChurch in the United States. Article II. Its object shall be to gather Sunday-schoolstatistics, to organize and assist new Sunday-schools, to extendand improve Reformed Sunday-schools, and to prepare and pub-lish all such Sunday-school literature, as may be authorized anddirected by the General Synod of the Reformed Church in the-United States and which shall be in accordance with the doc-trines, customs and usages of said Church. Article III. Its chief place of business shall be in theCity of Reading, Pennsylvania, with a Western agency in thestate of Ohio, but other places for the transaction of business mayat any time be designated by the General Synod of the aforesaidChurch. Article IV. The existence of the corporation shall beperpetual. Article V. The names and residences of the subscribersare as follows :
