Un énorme marronnier voisine avec le cours d'eau; ses branches couvrent un espace d'au moins 75 mètres carrés ; celui-ci nous paraît tout désigné pour servir de lieu de repos aux promeneurs. Un tilleul au.x grosses branches capricieusement tordues s'offre ensuite aux regards et, grâce à un caprice d'amateur peut-être, un pin passe son tronc droit et rigide à travers la couronne de ce tilleul pour épanouir son sommet au-dessus du sien. Dans le parc du « Vogelzang ». Des peupliers du Canada énormes, des massifs de thuya et de lilas, de beaux hêtres plantés en quinconce, des troncs argentés de bouleaux, des bosquets de rhododendrons partout toujours des essences forestières isolées ou plantées en groupe, le gazon parsemé d'anémones des bois, un mince ruisseau bourbeux, puis, le terrain monte doucement et à chaque pas, des points de vue magnifiques. Ceux-ci, d'ailleurs, se multiplient à souhait tous les accidents de terrain, toutes les belles silhouettes d'arbres, toutes les construc tions, ainsi que les environs du domaine, ont servi de prétextes à l'ouverture d'échappées qui forment un des charmes d'une promenade à travers le parc de «Vogelzang». Un pavillon circulaire s'élève au haut du chemin montant. De ce pavillon, la vue sur le parc est une des plus belles, et il s'ouvre aussi, dans la direction du sud, une per- spective sur la verte prairie, sur l'allée face au château Kreglinger, sur des champs
