34 Luther, Acole Turbellarien. diese Beobachtungen die bei so vielen anderen Wirbellosen gefundene schrittweise Einwartsverlagerung der Sinnes- zellen. Einen gegen das Nervensystem gerichteten Fortsatz, dessen Existenz in hochstem Grade wahrscheinlich ist, habe ich in keinem Falle auffinden konnen. Dieser Misserfolg hat in der angewandten Methode seine naturlichen Griinde. Geschlechtsor- rr gane. Die Vorstadien der mannlichen G e- schlechtszellen(Sper- matogonien und Sper- matocyten) liegen haupt- sachlich im Randparen- chym der dorsalen Kor- perhalfte, wenig hinter dem Gehirn beginnend und bis in die Gegend dorsal von den falschen Samenblasen reichend (Textf. 11 ho). Am reich- lichsten sind sie im vor- deren und mittleren Teil dieser Region vorhan- den. Dorsal von den Vorderenden der Bur- samundstucke werden sie sparlich und weiter caudal kommen sie nur noch vereinzeltvor. Dor- solateral sind die mann- lichen Geschlechtszellen etwas haufiger als in der mittleren Region des Riickens. Die jiingsten Stadien sind gewohnlich in der Nahe des Epithels gelegen; wahrend der Reifeteilun- gen riicken dann die Spermatocyten einwarts. Die sperma- tiden (F. 14, spt) sind deshalb meist, in Gruppen vereinigt, etwas in die Tiefe verlagert. Diese Regel gilt jedoch nur in ganz groben Ziigen. Im Einzelnen findet man die verschie-
