English: Across the juniper moor to Mona Gowan Juniper moorland is a bit of a speciality of Morven, North of Ballater. The low bushes give plenty of opportunity for mountain hares and grouse to hide. The bushes are rather brown in the spring, but seem to recover gradually through summer. Mona Gowan (749m) is on the skyline. |
