Acorn shaped mount front
Description
English: A post-medieval cast copper-alloy uniface mount in the form of an acorn (c. 17th century AD). On the upper face the cup is delineated from the nut by a transverse step.The upper surface of the cup is decorated with cross-hatching. The reverse has two integral lugs. Similar examples can be found illustrated illustrated in Read (2001, 29, 37; refs. 331-334).

The mount is 39.2mm long, 21.3mm wide, 1.8mm thick and weighs 6.1 grams.
