DescriptionAcorn 32016 2nd processor (bottom).jpg |
English: Acorn 32016 2nd processor (bottom). This is the 32016 2nd processor, the rarest of the Acorn 2nd processors. It was originally going to be called the 16032 2nd processor and is named as such in some early BBC literature, but NatSemi changed the name of the chip to 32016 before it was built. It has a NatSemi NS32016D-8 CPU clocked at 6 MHz and 1MB (32 x 32K RAM) with the Ferranti ULA Tube controller. The ROMs boot to the PANDORA OS kernel which then loads PANOS from disc.In addition to the 32016 2nd processor, Acorn used the NS32016 CPU in:Here is the Acorn brochure for the 32016 2nd processor
