Description

Photograph of a host coral Acanella arbuscula. a) shows the complete colony, where other associates can be identified (sea anemones, ane). Close-up of the hatched box is shown in b–c. b) tissue mass before nematode extraction (black arrow) and c) nematode being extracted from tissue mass (black arrow). Another tissue mass is seen at the base of the colony in a, which is missing its root-like branch. Inspection of this tissue mass did not yield any additional nematodes.
