Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Abutments of old railway bridge, Manchester Bolton and Bury Canal The railway which crossed the bridge whose abutments are seen here was the Radcliffe West Fork, which was a west-to-north connection from the Radcliffe(C) to Bolton line, to the East Lancashire line. Beyond is seen the girder bridge carrying a farm lane, (Spring Lane?), and beyond that, although not visible here, are more abutments which once carried the railway from Radcliffe(C) to Bolton.
