Description
English:
Zirc Abbey, main building. Oldest part built in 1717-1733, extended 1839-1841, the Red Tower comleted in 1847. Main facade (west side) completed to current form in 1854. The construction of the monastery was completed in 1927, when the inner large enclosed courtyard was also formed. The Bakony Pantheon was established in the courtyard in 1970, which commemorates (with plaques) the most famous researchers of the Bakony. In the 1980s the building housed the Industrial Vocational Training Institute No. 307, the 74-person Bakony Tourist Hotel, the Reguly Antal Monument Library, the Bakony Natural History Museum and a cheese factory in its huge cellar. The (inner?) enclosed courtyard of the building has excellent acoustics, which makes it suitable for outdoor performances. It was the venue of orchestral and choir concerts in 1958 during the Bakony Weeks, and in 1982, in the 800th year of Zirc's existence, a festive show was held on the open-air stage of the courtyard. - Passed by Way of Mary/fr:Via Maria M01-14 (Zirc – Ördög-árok – Csatka) Section pilgrimage trail, also passed by the 300km long Közép-dunántúli Red Trail, also passed by National Blue Trail' - 1 Rákóczi Square, Zirc, Veszprém County, Hungary.

Vöröstorony,- két hosszú kétemeletes szárnyra bontja. - A templom melletti kisudvar körüli rész egy emeletes változata 1717-1733-ban, a déli szárny meghosszabbítása 1839-1841-ben, a főhomlokzat (udvar felőli homlokzat) déli szakasza valamint az északi szárny 2. emelete 1844-45-ben, a jelenlegi főhomlokzat 1854-ben készült el. A monostor építkezései 1927-ben fejeződtek be, akkor alakult ki a belső nagy zárt udvara is. Az épület (belső?) zárt udvarának kiváló az akusztikája ami szabadtéri előadások megtartására teszi alkalmasssá. Zenekari és énekkari koncertek helyszíne volt 1958-ban a Bakonyi Hetek c. rendezvény alatt, 1982-ben pedig Zirc fennállásának 800. évében a ünnepi műsort rendeztek az udvar szabadtéri színpadán.
