Alabama,Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Missis-sippi, North, and South Carolina, and Texas went for Breckenridge ;Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia for Bell; while Douglas securedonly one entire State—Missouri.
