Description

cueva de la pileta It's a hike, both to get to the cave, and once inside, as well, but there's a handrail and steps carved in almost the whole way. Bring plenty of cash, be prepared to wait for a group to form, wear the least slippery shoes you have, and gloves if you think you might want to carry a lantern, don't bring a flashlight, don't let anyone see your camera, and use only passive-type night-vision.

As with most caves that you have to pay to get inside, it's a "trip" - but this one has real, truly visible paleolithic cave art, even in the portions of the cave that are not closed-off from tourists.
