| Description |
English: Devil's Bridge narrow-gauge train at Aberystwyth. Just after the last scheduled standard-gauge steam working had ceased on BR, in September 1968 the only steam services left were on the 1' 11½" gauge Vale of Rheidol line. 2-6-2T No. 7 'Owain Glyndwr' is ready to leave Aberystwyth on the afternoon service. This engine was built by the GWR at Swindon in 7/23 and in 2012 remains in service, the line having been sold by BR in 1989 it now belongs to the Phyllis Rampton Trust. |
