Summary
[edit]DescriptionAberratiodontus on forest floor 01.JPG |
English: Illustration of the cretaceous bird Aberratiodontus on the forest floor. Aberratiodontus was found in Liaoning province, China, and are dated to middle Aptian-stage. Although Aberratiodontus was very similar to modern birds in the overall skeleton (with welldeveloped sternum), it had teeth. The blue flowers on the ground are inspired by the fossil flower Archaefructus liaoningensis, and the illustrators imagination. The Aberratiodontus is based on the wellpreserved holotype, which can be seen at http://site.sinodino.com/Museum/images/Aberratiodontus.JPG and http://site.sinodino.com/Museum/images/Aberratiodontus_skull.JPG. |
