Description
English: Artist's rendition of Abe Rueff pleading guilty to bribery in May 1907. Scene in Judge Dunne's Courtroom when Abraham Ruef changed his plea to "guilty" in the extortion cases and made his dramatic declaration that he would assist in the reform of the city government. The figures in the picture, reading from left to right, are: Judge Frank H. Dunne; Frank J. Murphy; Abraham Ruef; Elisor Biggy; District Attorney Langdon; Assistant Prosecutor Hiram W. Johnson; Secret Service Agent William J. Burns; Rudolph Spreckels; and Francis J. Heney.
