Abbotsford House, near Melrose in Scotland, the home of novelist Sir Walter Scott. This view is the north elevation, facing the River Tweed. The bay windows on the first floor belong to the dining room. It was to here that the dying Scott asked to be brought, so that he could see the river. He died there.
