| Description |
English: Abandoned railway curve in the Afon Fachwen embayment. At the beginning of the 20thC slate waste from the Ladas, Faenol and Boundary Quarries was used to build a causeway along the shore of Llyn Padarn which allowed the straightening of the Padarn Railway at this point. This left an abandoned curve which at the end of the 20thC was chosen as the route at this point for the cables carrying electricity from the Dinorwig HEP plant to the Stabla sub-station. The green metal boxes stand on the cable route.
