English: Former Montgomery Ward department store. Originally opened in October 1966 as an anchor to the now-defunct Huntington Center (Huntington Beach Mall) and operated until 2000 when Wards declared bankruptcy. Some research shows that the sign came down only fairly recently, as there are photos from late 2007 on Flickr showing the sign still up Postscript:The building was demolished in December 2010 for the proposed mixed use Village at Bella Terra development. {1}. |
