Eesti: Tartu Ülikooli Füüsika Instituudi Kiletehnoloogia laboris läbi viidud katse pani proovile aatomkihtsadestatud katete vastupidavuse kraapimisele ja kruvimisele krobelise pinna sisse. Enne ametlikke vastupidavuse katseid tuleb sadestatud katsed ise kontrollida, hambaimplantaatide sisestamine sea reieluusse simuleerib lõualuusse sisestamise tingimusi. English: Experiment conducted in the University of Tartu, Institute of Physics, Thin Film Laboratory put coatings produced by atomic layer deposition method to the test: the durability for scratching and screwing into rough materials. Preliminary testings are carried out before any official testings can be done, inserting dental implants into pig's bone simulates the implant's real insertion process into the jawbone.
