Description
English: Aalenian GSSP (Lower-Middle Jurassic boundary). Golden spike ceremony: July, 28th 2016. Fuentelsaz, Guadalajara, Spain. Toarcian-Aalenian boundary overprint. The blue arrow points to the golden spike. Beside the golden spike are, at the left, Dr. Stanley Finney (President of the International Stratigraphic Commission) and, at the right, Dr. Antonio Goy Goy (Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Geological Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid).
Español: Punto y estratotipo global de límite inferior (GSSP) del Aaleniense (límite Jurásico Inferior-Medio). Ceremonia del "clavo dorado" (28 de julio de 2016). Fuentelsaz (provincia de Guadalajara, España). Sobreimpresión del límite Toarciense Aaleniense. La flecha azul señala al clavo dorado.
